What we do

Prevention Work

Prevention Work

As Trauma-Informed Care specialists, we want to be able to share our expertise and all that we have learnt with other organisations so that we can work towards preventing trafficking and slavery before it happens. Therefore, an imporant part of our work focuses on prevention and capacity building. We love to partner with other organisations to help them learn how to work with those who have suffered because of trafficking and slavery and help them to care for those who have.

Myanmar

We are currently partnering with YKWBA on a project in the country. The project focuses on delivering trauma informed care and women’s economic development activities to high-risk communities through our local partner.

The Solomon Islands

We partner with HOPE trust through New Zealand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade program in Solomon Islands.

Being a tier 2 country for human trafficking, this project builds community awareness of the issue. It also provides partnership capacity to prevent and respond to human trafficking, as well as child sexual exploitation and sexual abuse.

The project is being conducted in Guadalcanal, in communities near logging or mining camps with high rates of poverty, human trafficking and child sexual exploitation.
