A Glimpse into the Afghan Earthquake Crisis

In recent years, Afghanistan has faced numerous challenges, including conflict, political turmoil, and natural disasters. The earthquakes that struck the country have only added to the burden faced by its resilient people. These natural disasters have caused widespread devastation, displacing countless families, and leaving them in desperate need of assistance.

The Impact of £40,000 raised

Driven by an unwavering commitment to making a difference, Hagar Afghanistan sent a small team to support the rescue effort, with our international offices embarking on a journey to raise funds to support the survivors. 

The £40,000 that you have raised so far will allow us to provide crucial assistance to 300 families trying to rebuild their lives after the devastation. This funding can help provide shelter, food, clean water, medical care, and our expert trauma-informed counselling. 

Local communities helping local people

Alongside our direct support, clients from our economic empowerment programmes in Kabul have also been working round the clock to make clothing for survivors, creating a beautiful cycle of support. These clothes will not only warm the bodies of those affected by the earthquake, but also the hearts of the women from our programme as they support their fellow Afghans.
